Technical Knowledge & Training
Solar ESS focuses on sharing technical knowledge and training. Students or interested individuals who wants to be solar installer or homeowner who wants to install their own solar roof and fix their own electricity issue are more than welcome to visit our center to meet and talk to our staff who is more than happy to give you a short tour to learn about Solar System in less than an hour. (Appointment is to be made for a day in advance.) Also our short courses for those who are interested in learning more deeply about solar system for either to work as the solar installer or to be marketing manager in solar shop or simply to install your own solar system.
Two different courses have been designed for a different purpose. First course is designed to provide basic understanding of solar energy system from panels to AC output. The participants will develop the overall understanding of how the solar cell work, how PV generate the power in DC and the function of inverter to change from DC to AC and to connect with PEA grid (On Grid System) or to generate for load consumption without connecting with Grid (Off Grid System). The basic concepts of VIP (V*I=P; P/V = I, etc.), equipment compatible specifications, etc.
In this course the participants must have hands on experience to connect MC4 to cable, connect PVs in series/parallel form, and connect to circuits from grid. The course also includes the basic BOQ/BOM for small – to – medium projects and how to proceed to coordinate with PEA for selling the power back to PEA/MEA.

The second course is designed only for solar installer. The participant must pass the first course as a prerequisite for this. The center will propose those who are qualified after the first basic course. This second course will be on the site to support the installation. Financial compensation and business cooperation will be discussed
further with the qualified participants.

Project: 2 nd Year of Solar Energy to power the Event

The event was organized at Sangadee Space, the area of over 30 rais to feature food, and fabrics of the people in the circle of Nussara Tiangate who has been highly regarded as the one who revived Mae Chaem Teen Jok textile. The events such as small concert, talk, and cooking have been powered by the solar system. Our goal is to be the 1 st event in Chiang mai to be powered 100% by Solar Power. However, we could not achieve this because we cannot access to the area to lay all the 30 PVs for the space and to produce for all the shops. We will try again next time.
