What a battery does for you
A plain on-grid inverter switches off for safety whenever PEA power fails, even in full sun. A hybrid inverter with a battery and a backup circuit keeps your essential loads running: lights, fridge, Wi-Fi, pumps, a room air con.
Thailand pays only a low fixed rate for power you export. Storing the midday surplus and using it in the evening is usually worth more than sending it to the grid.
Mountain homestays, farms and remote sites run fully off-grid on solar and batteries, with a generator connection through an ATS for long cloudy spells.
How we design it
We look at your bills and, where possible, meter or inverter data to see how much you use in the evening and at night, and your peak loads.
We agree with you which circuits go on the backup panel, so the battery protects what matters instead of draining on everything.
Battery size comes from your night-time load; the pairing is checked against the inverter maker's approved battery list, so charging, backup and warranty all work as they should.
Batteries go in shade, ventilated and off the floor, each with its own DC breaker, copper cabling and proper earthing.
We test the backup switch-over, set up the monitoring app on your phone, handle the PEA connection paperwork and show you how the system works.
Hardware we fit
LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) only: the safer lithium chemistry, and it keeps its cycle life in Thai heat.

A 16 kWh battery stores about 16 units of electricity. Roughly, that runs a 1 kW inverter air con for about 14 hours. Final sizes are confirmed after we see your consumption.

If you already have a hybrid inverter, usually yes: we check that the battery is on the inverter maker's approved list. With a plain on-grid inverter, the inverter normally has to be replaced with a hybrid one or a separate battery inverter added. We will tell you which after a site check.
An on-grid rooftop system with a battery can qualify, as long as it is a new system of up to 10 kWp connected to PEA or MEA between 3 March 2026 and 31 December 2028. You need a full e-Tax Invoice, which Solar ESS issues for every system.
We fit LiFePO4 only, the most stable lithium chemistry for homes. Each battery gets its own DC breaker, is installed in shade with ventilation and off the floor, and is wired in copper with proper earthing.
Yes. We recommend the generator size and provide the connection point through an ATS. The generator supplier installs and warrants the generator, and we connect it to the solar system together with their team.
